Posted by Anshika on Saturday, March 6, 2010 , under | comments (0)

Finally ending all the speculations, Dimpy Ganguly is the winner of the show Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jaayega.
She took not just Rahul Mahajan's heart but also managed to become the bride.

Rahul Mahajan To Marry Dimpy Ganguly ?

Posted by Anshika on , under | comments (0)

With only a few hours left for Rahul Mahajan to finalize his bride, there is strong buzz that Dimpy Ganguly is the girl he will choose. "I am very excited yet nervous at the same time. I am really looking forward to the results," said Dimpy in her last interaction with the media.

But our source from the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai reveals, “Dimpy is more than confident that she will be Rahul’s bride and has already sent invitation to family and friends asking them to be present at the venue”. The source also adds, “I am amongst Dimpy’s invitees for the wedding and am making my preparations for the big night”.

In fact so strong is the chemistry between Rahul and Dimpy that apparently co-contender Nikunj Malik wanted to quit the show few days back. Nikunj did not like the fact that Rahul was getting close to Dimpy and could not see this happening before her eyes. “ Mera to vishwas hi dagmaga gaya (my trust has shaken)”, she was last heard saying.
The third girl Harpreet Chhabbra, a 21-year-old model and anchor, is nervous and merely says "I hope Rahul's decision is in my favour."

The girls have wooed Rahul in every possible way during the show, leaving behind 14 contestants. Over 16,500 women applied to be on the show.

The wedding will take place in a luxurious suburban hotel in Mumbai where the who's who of society will grace the occasion to shower their blessings on the couple.
Ace designers Vikram Phadnis, Neeta Lulla and Ashley Rebello will dress up Rahul's brides-to-be.
Rahul, who ended his marriage with childhood friend Shweta Singh in 2008, has planned to go to the Maldives and Ireland for his honeymoon, if a court which is holding his passport allows him to do so. He is facing charges of using banned drugs.

I dont' want to marry Rahul - Nikunj Malik

Posted by Anshika on Thursday, March 4, 2010 , under | comments (0)

She may very well become the second Mrs Rahul Mahajan but 25-year-old Nikunj Malik from Faridabad, is not so keen on taking up that role anymore.
One of the three finalists on the reality TV show, Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Malik beat off competition from 16,755 applicants and 16 contestants in order to win Mahajan’s heart. But now she says “he’s put me off”.
“I am not too keen on marrying him anymore. But we did sign a bond before the show and if he chooses me, I will definitely not walk out. But he will have to quit smoking and flirting with other women. These are the two things I will never allow,” she says.
Curiously enough it’s not Mahajan’s past that bothers Malik. Though he was involved in a cocaine scandal and accused of being a wife beater, Malik, a graduate of the National Institute of Fashion Technology in Delhi, says, “Everyone deserves a second chance. It was his closeness to other girls, especially Dimpy Ganguly, that put me off.”
Malik reveals that she entered the contest on her mother’s insistence. “She really liked Rahul and wanted me to get married to him. But I really don’t understand why the other two girls want to get married at the young age of 20,” she says, referring to the other two finalists, Dimpy Ganguly (21) and Harpreet Chabra (20).
Playing the coy Indian bride on television has not broken Malik’s resolve to remain independent after marriage. She affirms, “I am planning to launch my fashion label soon, with or without Rahul. Marriage will not stop me from working as I have spent 25 years of my life working towards this.”

As Rahul Mahajan's hunt for his perfect 'dulhaniya' is in the final stage, he is leaving no stone unturned to make the event more special. Apart from stylish ornaments and dresses, he has purchased a cordiform, 2.5 carat solitaire for his perfect bride.

Rahul, together with close pal and Bigg Boss contestant Sambhavna Seth, spent hours searching for the ideal ring. Sambhavna said, "This ring signifies Rahul's love and commitment to his future wife! I am so happy that I was there to help him make this important decision." "I am very sure that his future wife will feel loved and privileged to receive this beautiful ring!" she added.

The top three contenders include Dimpy Ganguly from Kolkatta, Nikunj Malik from Faridabad and Harpreet Chabra from New Delhi. On Friday, Mrinmai Kolwalkar, the 28-year-old model from Pune, got eliminated from the NDTV Imagine's reality show, 'Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega'. The stage is ready for March 6, when the final episode of the reality show will take place at the Fatehgarh House.

Mrinmai Kolwalkar Elimination Finally Public

Posted by Anshika on , under | comments (0)

Mrinmai Kolwalkar, the 28-year-old model from Pune, is finally out of 'Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega'. There are three finalists now, who will compete with each other to become Rahul Mahajan's bride - Dimpy, Nikunj and Harpreet.

In the elimination round, when Mrinmai and Nikunj were left then Mrinmai made it clear that she is all set to go where as Harpreet had a emotional outburst. When Rahul eliminated Mrinmai, she said Rahul just eliminated the most genuine girl on the show and is going to marry the fake ones.

Mrinmai, who was the most matured contestant on the show, was really shocked to be thrown out of the show. She vented her frustration, saying Rahul Mahajan did not have the ability to recognise the genuine people.

With Mrinami out of the race, the grand finale will be held between Dimpy Ganguly, Nikunj Malik and Harpreet Chhabra. The main contest will be between Dimpy and Nikunj, it is believed. Rahul has shown more interest in Dimpy despite the exposure about her boyfriend.

The stage is all set for March 6, Saturday, when the grand finale of 'Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega' will be held at the Fatehgarh House. Rahul Mahajan has already made it clear that he is here to mean business and will marry a girl of his choice. Let's see who wins over Rahul - Dimpy, Nikunj or Harpreet.

Finally its going to be 'All is well' for Rahul Mahajan as he has chosen his life partner in the televised swayamvar show 'Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega', and its seems that Nikunj Malik would rule the heart of Mahajan Jr., who is a designer from Faridabad.

The top three finalists are Nikunj Malik, Dimpy Ganguly and Harpreet Chabra and with the highest probability, Nikunj shares her emotions with Rahul and looking to tie knot with him on March 5.

According to a source which informed the tellychakkar, "The show has got its three finalists who will lock horns in the finale to go on to marry Rahul on 5 March. The three girls are Nikunj, Dimpy and Harpreet. In all probability, Nikunj will walk away home as the winner as Rahul has developed a liking for her. Apparently, Rahul is already dating her and is completely bowled over by her intelligence and beauty."

25-year-old Malik is an accessory designer from Faridabad. She apparently likes to read and write poetry. She wants to marry Rahul because she finds him to be courageous. She gave up a lead role with a leading Bengali filmmaker to come on RDLJ.

The Sweet Swati Augustin Eliminated

The 21 February episode started with Ram Kapoor questioning each of the top 5 girls individually and then with Rahul Mahajan. Questions varied from who they like, who they don't or who is the best suitable wife for him.

Further Pt Mukesh Sharma came to match the kundali's of brides with Rahul Mahajan. Panditji studied the kundali's of brides and told Rahul Mahajan about their characters and all. He also told him how many children they will have and whether they will be good for his career and family or not. Dimpy Ganguly was best suitable to Rahul Mahajan when it came to career, while Swati Augustin will support his family. On studying Rahul's kundali, Panditji confirmed that Rahul will surely get married on March 6th, 2009.
Mrinmai Kolwaler thinks that Harpreet and Dimpy are not suitable match while Nikunj is the best competitor. Harpreet for her younger age while Dimpy not trustworthy according to Mrinmai. Nikunj thinks that Mrinmai is best competitor while Harpreet not suitable for the same reason that Mrinmai gave. According to Swati, she has no competitor here as she is the best and thinks that Harpreet will be eliminated today while Dimpy is unsuitable due to her age.

Still in the end Swati Augustin and Harpreet Chhabra were the ones to be in danger zone. While Swati was the one who was eliminated.

Devinder, Priyadarshini & Charmy Eliminated Finally

Posted by Anshika on Thursday, February 18, 2010 , under | comments (0)

After the elimination of Devinder Sidhu in the Bollywood night episode, came further double eliminations in the second episode. First came a local Rajasthani meal and some good work of distributing dresses to the local school. Then in the second part of the show were some cat fights among the girls. The initiator was Rahul himself. As if he was requiring some reasons or preparing the ground for eliminations.

Priyadarshini Singh aka Ladoo was ultimately out of Rahul Ka Swayamwar along with Charmy Chauhan. Charmy accepted her elimination giving due respect to Rahul judgement of less bonding between them. But Miss Pridarshini Aishwarya Singh bombarded Rahul like she is mother of him. She said to Rahul that he is mere puppet who was used by other contestant to pull leg of Priyadarshini.

In the end she said he will feel sorry later in his life and now She will not marry any guy in her life. A women equals to Indira, Benazir and Jhansi Ki Rani. She was TRP of NDTV Imagine in some sense. A girl suited for Comedy Circus.

In the Bollywood Night, Shannti Dinno performed in a Kareena Kapoor avtar on the song Chhalia Chhalia while Mani Thakur performed in a Deepika Padukone style on the song Dhoom ta na from the movie Om Shanti Om.

But both the girls failed to impress Rahul Mahajan and in the end of the 15th February episode were eliminated by Ram Kapoor playing Gabbar. Shannti Dinno being a late entry in the show failed to make any connection with Rahul. Although Mani Thakur got ample of opportunities with Rahul but being so aggressive in nature couldn't win Rahul.

I'll definitely marry on TV: Rahul Mahajan

Posted by Anshika on Sunday, January 31, 2010 , under | comments (0)

Rahul Mahajan says he will definitely marry the woman he chooses through NDTV Imagine's reality show "Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega" unlike Rakhi Rahul Mahajan.

Sawant, whose televised 'swayamvar' came to an end with a broken engagement.

"See the name of my show is 'Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega'. The title itself says that I will take my bride home. I will definitely marry. In fact, the finale of the show will show my wedding only," Rahul told IANS at Udaipur's Fatehgarh Palace, where the show is being shot amid a lavish set.
Rahul, son of late Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pramod Mahajan, will begin his quest for a bride on TV starting Monday. He will choose from a total of 15 women who were selected after much scrutiny from over 16,000 applicants from across the country.

Among these, around seven are associated with the glamour industry in one form or the other. There are also small-time news anchors, models, directors, a law student, a BJP activist and an undergraduate student.
Asked about his choice of women from the media sector, Rahul joked: "Maybe they have been watching me a lot."

"Seriously, I think there are girls from all facets of life - whether from human resource management, fashion designing, media professionals or whatever. I think we have picked up different women from various fields and sections of society," he added.

Rahul says he is looking for three qualities in a woman - "honesty, genuineness and a sense of humour". And the biggest put-offs for him are dishonesty and melodrama.

"I think everyone should be happy all the time. I want my wife also to be happy all the time; what else does one want?" he said.

According to Rahul, who had a broken marriage with his childhood friend Shweta Singh, says if his father would have been alive, he would have been proud about Rahul's decision of remarrying.

"My father had a wish that I should get married, go on a honeymoon, have kids. He wanted to have a grandchild - it would have made him happy; so in a way I am trying to fulfil his wish. He would have been proud," he said.

But then why did he have to launch a national search for a bride on television?

"Did the media feel like leaving me alone when I got married first or at the time I was facing problems? Did the media ever leave my private life? In the past three years I have not got any privacy. Since 2006, the media has been covering every activity of mine. So whenever I marry next, it will go live - I know it.

"The only difference now with this show would be that it would be shown on a single channel, unlike before when all news channels would have got the footage," he said.

"Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega" will air at 8 p.m. Monday to Friday.
